About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team at HMP Ashfield in Bristol. As a Senior Forensic Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing the risks posed by prisoners with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive forensic risk assessments of prisoners to ensure their safe custody and rehabilitation.
  • Act as a professional witness in parole board hearings, multi-agency meetings, and other formal settings.
  • Lead and contribute to the development and delivery of offending behaviour programmes tailored to individual prisoner needs.
  • Deliver training on topics such as personality disorder, psychopathy, and managing difficult behaviour to enhance staff expertise.
  • Maintain adherence to our code of conduct and British Psychological Society (BPS) guidelines throughout your work.
