We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to lead our rehabilitation efforts in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

As a Senior Forensic Psychologist with Serco Plc, you will play a key role in the rehabilitation of prisoners at HMP Ashfield, a Category B male prison in Bristol.

The salary for this position is up to £61,475.75 per annum, making it an attractive opportunity for those looking to make a positive impact in their career.

Job Description:

This is a unique chance to utilise your expertise in forensic psychology to drive positive change and promote rehabilitation in a secure setting.

Your responsibilities will include undertaking forensic risk assessments, acting as a professional witness, leading offending behaviour programmes, and delivering training on various topics related to forensic psychology.

You will also be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of rehabilitative culture strategies within the prison, staying up-to-date with the latest research and knowledge in the field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Chartered status with the British Psychological Society
  • Registration as a Forensic Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Membership on the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAAPS) with the BPS
  • Strong awareness and knowledge of the Offender Personality Disorder pathway
  • Experience completing parole reports and carrying out assessments such as WAIS IV, HCR-20, PCL-R, IPDE, and SARA
  • Able to work in a multi-disciplinary way and bring a collaborative approach to your work
  • Desirable: Post-qualification experience working in secure settings
