**About the Opportunity**

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Manchester. This role offers a unique chance to work on challenging projects, develop new skills, and contribute to the growth and success of our Data team.

As a key member of our team, you will design, develop and deploy robust data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to upskill your colleagues. You will also implement best practices for data modelling, storage and retrieval to ensure scalability, reliability and performance of business data infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience working with large data sets, ideally within a commercial sector. They will be an inquisitive nature and a creative problem solver, proactively finding solutions and improving processes to enhance flow times and success rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing and deploying robust data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring to upskill the team, allowing the Head of Data and Analytics to focus on strategic management.
  • Implementing best practices for data modelling, storage and retrieval to ensure scalability, reliability and performance of business data infrastructure.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define data engineering solutions, and drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making.
  • Continuously improving data processes as new technology is implemented.
