Practice Administrator and Operations

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Practice Manager to join our team at Norwood Surgery. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the practice manager in all aspects of practice functionality, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and overall performance, ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.
Main Responsibilities- To support the practice manager in monitoring compliance with health and safety legislation, providing leadership and direction for staff.
- Coordinating portable appliance testing (PAT).
- Managing asset registers as directed by the practice manager.
- Coordinating all staff absences, maintaining an effective absence register, authorise annual leave absence, perform back to work interviews after absences.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a healthcare setting, leading multidisciplinary teams, performance management, including appraisal writing, staff development and disciplinary procedures. A strong understanding of the NHS and primary care general practice would be beneficial.
We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
