About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Deputy General Manager of the Radiology Clinical Service Unit (CSU). As a senior management professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager and the triumvirate management team in delivering operational excellence, strategic business planning, and leadership across the CSU.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Delivery and Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the General Manager and the triumvirate management team to develop and implement local strategic plans, ensuring the achievement of performance objectives and contributing to the delivery of Trust objectives.
  2. Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the management teams of the CSU, developing and implementing local strategic plans, and ensuring the achievement of performance objectives.
  3. Business Development and Innovation: Work with Service and Business Managers to identify business development opportunities, arising from changes in the internal/external environment or innovation.
  4. Specialty and Modality Management: Oversee and enable the functioning of strong specialty/modality triumvirate management teams, developing management capability within the team, and providing supervision, coaching, and mentorship to others.
  5. Talent Development and Equality: Support the services in providing opportunities for talent to be developed, ensuring the services continue to improve, and promoting a culture of equality, mutual respect, and diversity.

LTHT is one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe and a regional and national centre for specialist treatment, a renowned bio-medical research facility, and the local hospital for the Leeds community. The Radiology Clinical Service Unit delivers a diagnostic and treatment imaging service for over 600,000 patients a year within a budget of just over £71m.

The CSU employs a diverse workforce of over 850 employees across multiple disciplines, including medical, nursing, radiographers, and other AHPs, clinical/healthcare scientists and technologists, administrative, and clerical staff. Working to uphold The Leeds Way, the post holder will be accountable for leading and managing the management teams of the CSU, developing and implementing local strategic plans, and ensuring the achievement of performance objectives.
