About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Deputy General Manager, responsible for supporting the General Manager in providing operational delivery, strategic business planning, and leadership for the Radiology Clinical Service Unit (CSU) and Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the CSU Waste Reduction Programme, ensuring the implementation of best practices and progressive solutions.
  • Develop and implement local strategic plans, ensuring achievement of performance objectives and contributing to the Trust's ambition.
  • Work with the Triumvirate Team to provide operational business management and planning support across all specialties within the CSU.
  • Evidence ongoing professional development and promote a culture of equality, mutual respect, and diversity.
  • Oversee and enable the functioning of strong specialty/modality triumvirate management teams, developing management capability within the team.
  • Support the services in providing opportunities for talent development, ensuring the services continue to improve.
About Us

LTHT is one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe, a regional and national centre for specialist treatment, a renowned bio-medical research facility, and the local hospital for the Leeds community. The Radiology CSU delivers a diagnostic and treatment imaging service for over 600,000 patients a year within a budget of just over £71m.

The Deputy General Manager will support the General Manager, the Head of Profession, and the Clinical Director by providing a senior general management resource, capable of coordinating CSU-wide projects and initiatives, delivery of business, workforce, and financial planning across the CSU.

The post holder will make judgements involving highly complex facts or situations, requiring the analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options.
