This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Estimated Salary: £120,000 - £180,000 per annum

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our multidisciplinary team in providing exceptional patient care.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  1. Providing high-quality clinical care for patients referred to and using the services of the hospital, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic and person-centric care.
  2. Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews, and the development of a therapeutic milieu.
  3. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff.
  4. Engaging in clinical governance and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
  5. Participating in on-call rotations, ensuring continuous high-quality care.
  6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Full GMC registration with specialist registration in psychiatry.
  • Extensive experience in Forensic psychiatry.
  • Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
  • Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check, provided by Suttons Manor.
  • Holding a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry with experience in inpatient settings.
  • Able to work autonomously to agreed short and medium term objectives, understanding the impact of actions on patient care and the multidisciplinary team.
