Job Title: 2nd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer

Peaple Talent is partnering with a leading technology service provider to recruit a 2nd line infrastructure support engineer with expertise in MSP and multiple client set-ups. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a desire to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of escalated issues from the Service Desk and work closely with the Network Infrastructure team.
  • Provide 2nd line customer-facing and remote support structure.
  • Assist with internal IT support, helpdesk, and incident management.
  • Configure and troubleshoot PC and server systems, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
  • Perform daily system checks, including backup monitoring and reporting.
  • Proactively and reactively deliver technical support to clients to meet SLAs.
  • Maintain and update internal client documentation and logging time and activities.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and escalate issues that cannot be resolved within agreed service levels.
  • Assist in delivering complex projects and manage non-complex projects.
  • Develop knowledge of customer business strategies and goals.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days working from the office in Chippenham and some on-site visits to customers and clients. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team and have opportunities for professional growth and development.
