About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to cover various customer locations throughout the North of England, specifically in the East Midlands and Lincolnshire regions.

Job Purpose

This role involves managing the existing Industrial Refrigeration service business in the region and expanding all activities in the North Region with both external and internal clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • To proactively deliver engineering tasks, including maintenance and service visits to food factories, RDCs, and warehouses on various equipment, such as reciprocating, scroll, and screw compressor packs, including ammonia, CO2, and HFC/HFO installations.
  • To carry out service and reactive breakdown cover in normal working hours, as well as supporting out-of-hours works by being part of a standby rota.
  • To observe internal and client support functions to meet the requirements and objectives of our customers and our business.
  • To ensure that engineering tasks are supported with the appropriate commercial awareness and business system compliance at all times.
  • To be responsible for the quality of each individual engineering task, ensuring all practices are followed at all times.
  • To participate in industry best practices and legislative guidelines.
Requirements
  • Proven knowledge of the Industrial Refrigeration engineering services sector and the expectations of Industrial Refrigeration customers.
  • To demonstrate the appropriate technical competencies and certificates relevant to the skills required, such as 2079 Refrigerant handling, ACRIB, and Ammonia.
  • To have successfully completed a recognized training course or apprenticeship in Industrial Refrigeration.
  • To have a good base knowledge of maintenance and service duties on medium to large industrial applications.
  • To have experience of large central plant technical diagnosis and fault-finding skills for various installations, as well as experience on refrigeration compressors such as Grasso, Sabroe, J&E Hall, GEA, and Mycom.
