Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Industrial & Commercial Refrigeration Service Engineer to oversee various client sites across the North of England, including the East Midlands and Lincolnshire.

Role Objectives:

This position is designed to manage the current Industrial Refrigeration service operations in the region while also driving the growth of our services for both external and internal clients.

Key Duties:

  • Proactively execute engineering tasks, which encompass maintenance and service visits to food production facilities, regional distribution centers, and warehouses, handling a diverse range of equipment including Reciprocating, Scroll, and Screw compressor packs utilizing Ammonia, CO2, and HFC/HFO systems.
  • Provide service and emergency breakdown support during standard working hours, and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours assistance.
  • Collaborate with internal and client support teams to fulfill the needs and objectives of our customers and our organization.
  • Ensure that all engineering tasks are conducted with the necessary commercial insight and adherence to business systems.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for each engineering task undertaken, ensuring compliance with established practices and contract obligations.
  • Adhere to industry best practices and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in the Industrial Refrigeration engineering sector, with a clear understanding of customer expectations.
  • Possession of relevant technical qualifications and certifications, such as 2079 Refrigerant Handling, ACRIB, and Ammonia.
  • Completion of a recognized training program or apprenticeship in Industrial Refrigeration.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of maintenance and service responsibilities for medium to large-scale industrial systems.
  • Experience in diagnosing technical issues and troubleshooting large central plant installations, with familiarity in refrigeration compressors from manufacturers like Grasso, Sabroe, J&E Hall, GEA, and Mycom.
