Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a skilled Industrial & Commercial Refrigeration Service Engineer to oversee various client sites across the North of England, including the East Midlands and Lincolnshire.

Role Objective:

This position is focused on managing the current Industrial Refrigeration service operations in the area while also driving the growth of all service activities with both external clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Duties:

  • Proactively execute engineering tasks, including maintenance and service visits to food production facilities, regional distribution centers, and warehouses, working with a range of equipment such as Reciprocating, Scroll, and Screw compressor packs utilizing Ammonia, CO2, and HFC/HFO systems.
  • Provide service and reactive support during standard working hours, and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours assistance.
  • Collaborate with internal and client support teams to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Ensure that all engineering tasks are approached with the necessary commercial insight and adherence to business protocols.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for each engineering task, ensuring compliance with all operational practices.
  • Adhere to industry best practices and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in the Industrial Refrigeration engineering services sector, with a clear understanding of customer expectations.
  • Possession of relevant technical certifications and competencies, such as 2079 Refrigerant handling, ACRIB, and Ammonia qualifications.
  • Completion of a recognized training program or apprenticeship in Industrial Refrigeration.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of maintenance and service responsibilities for medium to large-scale industrial systems.
  • Experience in diagnosing technical issues and troubleshooting for various refrigeration installations, including compressors from manufacturers like Grasso, Sabroe, J&E Hall, GEA, and Mycom.
