We're looking for a Strategic Category Development Professional to join our team at Compass Group UK.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement, with experience in managing large categories and developing and implementing category strategies. They will be responsible for day-to-day supplier and contract management, as well as providing effective leadership and development to a category buyer.
Responsibilities- Responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to drive business growth and optimise quality and gross margin delivery
- Accountable for process stewardship and influencing business requirements across the Hot Beverage spend for the UK&I
- Delivering customer and market focus through close supplier relationships and competitor understanding
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make strong decisions with good commercial acumen.
A competitive salary of around £60,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered for this role.
