About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Durham County Council. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to service users within Harbour Lodge Extra Care Scheme.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is £18,360 - £20,493 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive 27 days holiday per year rising to 32 days after five years continuous local government service, as well as access to a range of benefits including competitive salaries, excellent contributory pension scheme, and wellbeing portal.

About the Job
As a Care Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include providing personal care, supporting daily living activities, and promoting independence among service users. You will work as part of a close-knit team to deliver exceptional care and make a real difference in people's lives.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a willingness to undertake personal care and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. A NVQ Level 2 in Care or a willingness to achieve within a set timescale is also desirable. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues alike.
