Job Title: Primary and Secondary Librarian

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced librarian to join our school team. As a Primary and Secondary Librarian, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant and engaging learning environment that supports the academic success of our students.

Main Responsibilities:• Develop and implement a comprehensive library strategy that meets the needs of primary and secondary students
• Manage and maintain the school library and its resources, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant to curriculum requirements
• Identify and purchase high-quality books and educational materials to support teaching and learning
• Teach students how to use the library effectively and promote a love of reading among all pupils
• Provide a welcoming climate in the library and across the school, supporting students outside of class and after school with their learning
• Run reading interventions to teach students how to read, comprehend, and love reading

Requirements:
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above)
• Right to work in the UK
• A-Level English or equivalent (desirable)
• Recognised professional qualification for librarianship or information management system (desirable)
• Previous experience working in a library or similar role (ideal)
• Ability to work as part of a team and go above and beyond for students
