This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading education supply agency as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant in Choppington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting children and young people with special educational needs in a SEND school.
The RoleYour duties will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning in a small class sized setting
- Leading small group and 1:1 interventions to meet individual pupil needs
- Assisting pupils with personal care and behaviour management
You will also be responsible for liaising with staff and parents, and participating in weekly CPD sessions. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils who have special educational needs
- A passion for the progress of SEND school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
This role offers a competitive daily rate of £85 per week, paid using the PAYE system, depending on experience and qualifications. You will also benefit from social and networking events, pension contributions, and CPD opportunities to help with your professional development.
