SEND Support Assistant for Children with Down's Syndrome

Austin Fraser is seeking a dedicated SEND Support Assistant to join our team in Morecambe. This role involves working closely with a non-verbal pupil with Down's Syndrome, supporting their educational and social development, and making a positive impact on their life.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with another teaching assistant to support the pupil's daily routine and integration into mainstream school activities.
- Develop a supportive and nurturing relationship with the pupil, focusing on enhancing their educational and social skills.
- Employ specialised communication techniques to interact effectively with the non-verbal pupil.
- Assist in the implementation of educational plans and activities designed to meet the pupil's unique learning needs.
- Maintain regular communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the pupil's education and care.
- Competitive hourly pay (£13.18 per hour).
- The opportunity to make a significant difference in a pupil's educational progress.
- A stable, long-term contract until at least July 2025.
