We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at GRIDSERVE. As a critical member of our business intelligence team, you will play a key role in enabling insights through data and driving business success.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the Business Intelligence team, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Develop, test, and implement data, reporting, and analytic solutions in Azure, ensuring high-quality and efficient delivery.
- Design and develop mission-critical Business Intelligence applications, leveraging advanced SQL queries, Stored Procedures, and Power Pivot models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive Power BI models that enhance performance and achieve business objectives.
- Translate complex business logic into database design using Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, Views, and T-SQL.
- Analyze complex data sets and transform them into actionable insights, leveraging DAX functions in Power BI and Power Pivot.
- Automate Power BI data refreshes using PowerShell scripts and Azure Automation, optimizing table performance through index analysis and enhancements.
- Cleanse data using Derived Columns, Lookups, and Conditional Split, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Design and develop reports using Charts, Gauges, Tables, and Matrices, creating Parameterized, Dashboard, Linked, and Sub Reports.
- Develop drill-down and drill-through reports for multi-dimensional analysis, adhering to industry best practices and trends.
- Ability to lead and support the Business Intelligence team, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data, identify issues, and design pragmatic solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Power BI Expertise, with extensive experience in report development, data refresh automation, and gateway management.
- Strong experience with DAX and creating complex Power BI models, as well as proficiency as a SQL Developer, including advanced SQL queries and database design.
- Azure and Data Services experience, with a deep understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Proven experience working with large data sets and optimizing data processing, with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and BI certifications a plus.
