Family Group Conference Coordinator

Achieving for Children is seeking an experienced Family Group Conference Coordinator to join our team. As a Family Group Conference Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating Family Group Meetings, empowering families to make informed decisions about their children's care.
Key Responsibilities- Arrange and organize Family Group Meetings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Empower family members to come to their own decisions about their children's care, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist referrers and other professionals in preparing FGC Agendas and Questions, ensuring all relevant information is considered.
- Facilitate the participation of children and young people in the Family Group Meeting process, promoting their voices and needs.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with families, professionals, and other stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative approach to achieving positive outcomes.
- FGC accreditation is essential for this role.
- Previous experience in arranging and completing Family Group Conferences is required.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Fostering Regulations, and National Minimum Standards.
- Strong analytical and planning skills, with the ability to assess and review foster carers' and children's needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with families and professionals from diverse backgrounds.
