Family Group Conference Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Family Group Conference Coordinator to join our team at Achieving for Children. As a Family Group Conference Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating Family Group Conferences, empowering families to make informed decisions about their children's care.
Key Responsibilities- Arrange and organize Family Group Conferences, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Empower family members to come to their own decisions about their children's care, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist referrers and other professionals in preparing FGC agendas and questions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the family's needs.
- Facilitate the participation of children and young people in the FGC process, promoting their voices and perspectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, social workers, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- FGC accreditation is essential for this role.
- Previous experience in arranging and completing Family Group Conferences is required.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Fostering Regulations, and National Minimum Standards.
- Strong analytical and planning skills for assessing and reviewing foster carers and children's needs.
- Ability to explain professional reasoning, judgments, and decision-making in a constructive and supportive manner.
- Experience in using ICT, Liquid Logic, PARIS case record management systems, and other relevant software.
