About the Role

Achieving for Children is seeking an experienced Family Group Conference Coordinator to join our team. As a Family Group Conference Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating Family Group Meetings, empowering families to make informed decisions about their children's care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrange and organize Family Group Meetings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Empower family members to come to their own decisions about their children's care, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist referrers and other professionals in preparing FGC Agendas and Questions.
  • Facilitate the participation of children and young people in the Family Group Meeting process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, professionals, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • FGC accreditation is essential.
  • Previous experience in arranging and completing Family Group Conferences is required.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Fostering Regulations, and National Minimum Standards.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills for assessing and reviewing foster carers and children's needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
