Job Summary

Belmond Hotels is seeking a skilled CDP Pastry Specialist to join our esteemed culinary team at The Cadogan. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods and pastries that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods, adhering to established recipes and techniques.
  • Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies to ensure seamless production.
  • Collaborate with the pastry team to develop new recipes and menu items that align with our luxury hotel's culinary standards.
  • Ensure all baked goods meet quality and presentation standards, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a Baker or Pastry Cook, with a strong understanding of baking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with the pastry team.
  • Food safety and sanitation certification is a plus.
