About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our team at Belmond. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to delight our guests.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute pastry recipes to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with our Head of Pastry and other kitchen team members to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Source high-quality ingredients and materials to support our pastry offerings.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest pastry trends and techniques to continuously improve our offerings.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Degree or diploma in pastry or culinary arts is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and recipes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce consistent and beautiful pastries.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have strong bakery skills and ability to work very early shifts.
