Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Armagh, Northern Ireland. As a key member of our construction services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on our sites.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular site inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing measures to mitigate risks. You will also perform detailed risk assessments and safety audits, develop and implement corrective actions, and monitor the effectiveness of safety measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Safety Management:
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
    • Ensure all safety procedures and protocols are adhered to by site personnel.
  • Risk Assessments and Audits:
    • Perform detailed risk assessments and safety audits on construction sites.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to address any identified safety issues.
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of safety measures.
  • Training and Education:
    • Conduct health and safety training sessions for site staff and subcontractors.
    • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
    • Provide guidance and support to project teams on health and safety matters.
  • Policy Implementation:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with NEBOSH standards and ISO guidelines (preferred but not essential).
    • Keep up to date with the latest health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH certification, experience in the construction industry with on-site experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with flexibility to travel extensively across Europe, are also essential.
