Safety Compliance Officer

Vanrath is assisting a Major Organics/Waste Company in recruiting a Safety Compliance Officer to join their dynamic team in Dunmurry (Belfast) or Keady (Armagh).
The estimated salary for this role is around £50,000 per annum, plus a range of market-leading benefits.

Job Description:
- Develop and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe working procedures for work activities across all sites, ensuring continuous monitoring and updating of changes in working procedures.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and site visits to monitor compliance and good industry practice.
- Travel between sites regularly and as necessary.
- Build strong working relationships at all levels to advise on and promote a culture of engagement and continuous improvement in regard to health and safety.
- Develop and deliver internal training, including toolbox talks, safety alerts, etc., and deliver scheduled in-house training on health, safety, and environmental topics to ensure employees have sufficient information, instruction, and training to carry out their activities safely.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the Company's Health, Safety & Environmental objectives, targets, and initiatives.
- Assist with HS&E audits, inspections, and visits from HSENI, Public Authority Bodies, external auditors, customers, etc.
- Provide health and safety induction training for new employees.
- Assist with the delivery of all health and safety aspects related to future projects.
