Cordwallis Group is seeking a professional HGV Service Advisor to join our Bicester-based Commercial Service Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing workshop operations, and promoting additional services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage workshop operations, including Work in Progress (WIP) control, MOT and service scheduling, and updating customers on vehicle progress.
  • Clarify repair requirements with customers and the workshop, ensuring accurate and timely completion of work.
  • Promote additional services and repairs to customers, identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient ordering and requisitioning of parts, obtaining authorization and order numbers from customers as required.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in the customer reception area, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
  • Assist in the development of parts sales, aiming to meet relevant targets and enhance the company's commercial interests.
  • Cost completed work, raise invoices, and account for all cash, cheques, and other payments received.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle history and service records, adhering to customer requirements and operator license standards.
  • Ensure compliance with good health and safety practice, all statutory requirements, company policies, and standard procedures.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Proven organizational and administration skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Technical knowledge and analytical skills, including working with statistical and costing information.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work, with a keen interest in learning and developing new skills.
