About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our team in Health Jobs UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial management support across multiple directorates, including undertaking detailed expenditure analysis, establishing control, and forecasting.

This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will work closely with budget holders, senior finance managers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient resource utilization. You will also liaise with directorate staff on financial reporting and queries, providing advice on complex financial issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support budget holders in ensuring resources are utilized efficiently
  • Liaise with directorate staff on financial reporting and queries
  • Produce working papers and analysis in support of month-end and year-end reporting
  • Ensure income and expenditure are correctly classified within the Trust's ledger
  • Analyse and report on financial performance, including variances from budget
