Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a challenging role that requires strong analytical skills, excellent financial knowledge, and the ability to work independently.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing income and contracts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing expert advice to stakeholders. This role will involve analyzing complex financial data, identifying trends, and making recommendations to improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Income and Contracts: Oversee the management of income and contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate records.
  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  3. Advice and Guidance: Provide expert financial advice to stakeholders, including senior management, budget holders, and external partners.
  4. Analytical Skills: Analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve financial performance.
  5. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teams, including finance, accounting, and procurement, to ensure seamless financial operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy: Possess a degree in accountancy or a related field.
  • AAT Membership: Be a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
  • Professional Qualification: Hold a recognized professional accountancy qualification, such as CCAB, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or ACA.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience: Have substantial experience in a complex financial environment, preferably within the NHS.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and access to training and development opportunities.

Location:

This role is based at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, Kent, DA2 8DA. We are a smoke-free organization, and parking permits are allocated subject to availability and eligibility criteria.
