We are seeking an experienced commercial co-founder to join our team at Deep Science Ventures Limited. As a Commercial Founder in Residence, you will play a crucial role in building a high-growth company that addresses the urgent need to remove and store billions of tons of CO2 from our atmosphere.

Our approach is to provide permanent and verifiable storage for the >500 Gt of CO2 captured from negative emissions pathways and industrial emissions. We've worked backwards from the requirement of a geological CO2 storage approach that is inherently secure and scalable.

We are looking for an individual with CEO/business development type skills gained from previous experience in science and technology companies. You will be responsible for developing sales and marketing strategies, growing and managing teams, and engaging with regulators and local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a commercial strategy to drive growth and revenue
  • Building and managing a high-performing team to deliver business objectives
  • Engaging with regulators and local stakeholders to ensure compliance and build relationships
  • Collaborating with the DSV team to leverage our network and resources

In return, you will receive:

  • Up to £250k in investment to incorporate the new venture and develop early proof-of-concept data
  • Guaranteed income of £4,166 per month paid as a consultancy fee until the company is launched and the pre-seed investment is secured
  • Majority equity stake in the new company for you and your co-founders
  • Continuous post-spinout support, including fundraising, commercial partnerships, recruitment, and team-building
