Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Robertson Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for the complete commercial control of all works associated with the delivery of our developments throughout the North East England.

Your New Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with appraisal/land bids process
  • Producing cash flow forecasts as requested by the Head of Commercial
  • Producing interim and final budgets
  • Mentoring and developing those who directly report to you
  • Being responsible for the projects of those who report to you
  • Managing procurement of trade packages and overseeing sub-contract ordering in conjunction with company procedures
  • Producing and approving subcontract/partner payments, including monthly on-site measurement/assessment of progress
  • Coordinating with key stakeholders with establishing project delivery strategy and implementation
  • Regular coordination and reporting to the Head of Commercial with all commercial aspects of the business
  • Assisting team with resolving key issues and disputes
  • Attending and contributing to various meetings, such as pre-order meetings, valuation meetings and project review meetings with senior management, construction team as well as external contractors
  • Implementation of group policy and procedures
  • Providing commercial risk profile and monitoring of Developments
  • Contributing towards continual business improvement
