Publicity Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Publicity Assistant to support the adult books team at Simon & Schuster UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with publicity efforts, including responding to media queries, organizing press mailings, and supporting senior team members with tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to media inquiries and provide timely and accurate information
  • Organize and coordinate press mailings and other publicity materials
  • Support senior team members with tasks and projects
  • Assist with author events and signings
  • Collate and distribute media coverage
  • Produce promotional materials, including press releases and social media content
  • Process invoices and manage finances
  • Organize meetings and arrange travel and hotel bookings
  • Provide general publicity support internally and externally
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to interact at all levels. A good understanding of social media, IT skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Excel are essential. A working knowledge of Photoshop would be beneficial.

Please note that due to the nature of the industry, the candidate may be required to work non-office hours to support at publicity events. The ideal candidate will be able to work in the office in London at least three days a week.
