**Carbon Consulting Opportunity**

We are seeking a talented Freelance Consultant to co-lead high-quality nature-led carbon offset projects, focusing on due diligence and technical work in reforestation initiatives.

As a key member of the Sustainable Development team based in London, you will be required to be physically present in the office for 3 days a week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and overseeing carbon offset projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and manage high-quality nature-based carbon offset projects.
  • Leading technical due diligence processes for potential reforestation projects, assessing project feasibility, sustainability impacts, compliance with certification standards, and alignment with our offsetting strategy.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Forestry, Carbon Finance, Business/Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in carbon removal and nature-based solutions, specifically in reforestation projects.
  • Proven experience in carbon offsetting and biodiversity markets, certification methodologies, project development, and financial fundamentals.
  • Strong background in conducting technical due diligence for reforestation or similar nature-based projects.
  • Proficient in project management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of articulating complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Effective when working independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Must be able to work on-site in London for at least 3 days per week.
