Junior Controls Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Junior Controls Engineer to join our team at Actemium Automation Nottingham. As a Junior Controls Engineer, you will be assisting senior engineers in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial automation projects around the East Midlands.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop control solutions for various industrial applications.
  • Assist in the design, programming, and testing of PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and commissioning activities.
  • Analyse system performance and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to clients and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming (Rockwell) and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in the Food and Beverage sector is a plus.
What We Offer
  • Base salary between £30,000 - £40,000 (experience dependent).
