Junior Controls Engineer

We are seeking a talented Junior Controls Engineer to join our team at Actemium Automation Nottingham.

About the Role

As a Junior Controls Engineer, you will be assisting senior engineers in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial automation projects in the East Midlands.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop control solutions for various industrial applications.
  • Assist in the design, programming, and testing of PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and commissioning activities.
  • Analyse system performance and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to clients and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of PLC programming (Rockwell) and SCADA systems, as well as familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field, and excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary between £30,000 - £40,000 (experience dependent), as well as a range of benefits including holidays, health shield, profit share scheme, and company pension scheme.
