Project Director - Rail Infrastructure Opportunity

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our client's rail infrastructure projects.

About the Role: As a Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our client's rail infrastructure projects, from planning to delivery. You will lead a team of project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of project managers and engineers to deliver rail infrastructure projects
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Ensure projects are delivered to the required quality standards and within budget
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, including health and safety, environmental, and commercial risks
  • Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including commercial, technical, and operational teams

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading rail infrastructure projects, preferably with a major contractor or client
  • Strong technical knowledge of rail infrastructure, including design, construction, and maintenance
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and priorities
  • Professional qualifications, such as CEng or MICE, would be advantageous
