Job Title: Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Options Resourcing Limited. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects, working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that estimates are accurate and meet the client's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing client requirements and reviewing project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, materials needed, and labour requirements
  • Working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that estimates are accurate and meet the client's requirements
  • Conducting site visits to gather necessary information and measuring quantities
  • Preparing and sending out subcontractor and supplier enquiries
  • Analysing and interpreting subcontractor proposals to ensure the client's requirements are met
  • Identifying risks, opportunities, and making informed decisions about pricing and profitability
  • Preparing and ensuring tender submissions are evaluated and submitted in accordance with client's requirements

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in estimating, surveying, or working within the construction industry
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and materials
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Professionally qualified, preferably construction-related or equivalent proven ability and experience in a similar role
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly Conquest estimating software and Excel
  • Hold a full UK driving license
