Job Title: Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Options Resourcing Limited. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and detailed estimates for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess client requirements and review project plans to determine scope of work, materials needed, and labour requirements
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure estimates are accurate
  • Conduct site visits to gather necessary information and measure quantities
  • Prepare and send out subcontractor and supplier enquiries
  • Analyse and interpret subcontractor proposals to ensure client requirements are met
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and make informed decisions about pricing and profitability
  • Prepare preliminaries for tender adjudication and ensure key issues are presented
  • Prepare and submit tender submissions in accordance with client requirements
  • Carry out post-tender return negotiations with client team
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in estimating, surveying, or working within the construction industry
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and materials
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Professionally qualified, preferably construction-related, or equivalent proven ability and experience in a similar role
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly Conquest estimating software and Excel
  • Hold a full UK driving license
