Head of Business Development and Growth

About the Role:
CMC Markets, a leading provider of spread bet and CFD trading, is seeking an experienced Head of Business Development and Growth to drive strategic growth initiatives across our estate. As a key member of our dynamic Marketing team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective acquisition, activation, retention, and reactivation growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development and growth strategy aligned with company goals.
- Lead a high-performing growth team to dominate our category through innovative marketing campaigns and partnerships.
- Implement a robust framework for testing and optimisation of performance spanning both acquisition and retention activities.
- Establish program measurement methodologies for growth marketing and drive ROI.
- Prioritise opportunities for improvement and growth; generate data-driven hypotheses to inform strategies for campaigns, experiments, and initiatives.
- Analyse and optimise the performance of growth initiatives and their related content using qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Routine weekly growth meetings with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery of growth initiatives.
- Set digital strategy and execute plans to scale growth in Search, Display, Paid Social, Mobile, Affiliates, and SEO across our markets.
- Assess suitable resources, partners, and tech requirements for growth projects.
- Work closely with internal product teams to drive digital automation projects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of marketing experience, including at least 3 years of growth marketing experience.
- Relevant growth strategy and market development expertise with deep analytical and modelling skills.
- Email, push, and SMS marketing experience from ideation to execution.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, passion for growth, tough challenges, and building a business with a willingness to get hands-on.
- Experience implementing an experiment-based optimisation framework.
- Growth mindset, humility, and the burning desire to own your domain and work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university; MBA beneficial.
Estimated Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum depending on experience.
