Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Wateringbury Surgery. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and care plans for patients with chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management and self-care.
  • Conduct routine health checks and screenings, including blood pressure monitoring and ECGs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by our GPs.
  • Document patient interactions and care plans accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse qualification and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in primary care or community healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and quality improvement principles.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as chronic disease management or community health.
  • Experience working with elderly and housebound patients.
  • Knowledge of public health issues and health promotion strategies.
