Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse to join our Health Visiting service in the Tonbridge and Malling district. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support to families with children aged zero to five, promoting their health and well-being, and ensuring they receive the best possible care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to antenatal and postnatal care programs, ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and their babies.
  • Complete HCP mandated reviews, packages of care, and safeguarding, prioritizing the safety and protection of vulnerable individuals.
  • Support the supervision and development of colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Undertake a range of clinical and non-clinical interventions to support the outcomes for families and the service, leveraging your expertise and knowledge to drive positive change.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, fostering collaboration and open communication among team members.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to enhance the team working environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.

Person Specification

We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered healthcare professional (NMC registration)
  • Health-related degree and evidence of relevant postgraduate development at Level 6
  • Evidence of Specialist qualifications relevant to the area of practice - Specialist Community Public Health Nurse

We also value desirable criteria, including:

  • PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management training
  • PTLLS/DTLLS, PGCE, or Certificate in Education Management or supervisory qualification or experience of study
