About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Support Worker to join our team at Penderels Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and care to a young boy with autism, global development delay, and non-verbal communication. The individual requires supervision at all times and has a tendency to put mud and sand in his mouth.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in childcare and special needs, be honest, reliable, and trustworthy, and be able to work on their own initiative. They will also be required to undertake any necessary training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care.

The role involves supporting the individual with personal care, cooking, and meal preparation, as well as accompanying them to school, social activities, and sporting events. The successful candidate will be a patient, supportive, and caring individual who is able to build a strong relationship with the individual and their family.

We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our service users, and we require all staff to be DBS checked and to have the necessary qualifications and training to carry out their role.
