Leader Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a Short Breaks centre based in Durham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCPs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment.
- Monitor and manage student's behaviour and wellbeing.
- Support the development of social and emotional skills.
- Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse needs.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Candidates will need an enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience working with young people with SEND is desirable.
