Job Opportunity: Support Worker

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a Short Breaks centre based in Durham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCPs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Monitor and manage student's behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Support the development of social and emotional skills.
  • Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse needs.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Candidates will need an enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Previous experience working with young people with SEND is desirable.
