The estimated annual salary for this role is £97,502 - £108,126, depending on experience. The location of the job is in Cambridge, CB21 5EF.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist Community Care Lead, you will be responsible for providing consultant leadership and psychiatric input to the Acute Assessment Unit at Fulbourn Hospital. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, establishing good liaison and links with community teams.

You will have the opportunity to participate in various aspects of clinical governance, including evaluation, audit, research, and service development. Your expertise will be invaluable in mentoring junior doctors and contributing to the collection of clinical information for further service development.

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can demonstrate reflective practice, understanding of the management skills required to function successfully as a Consultant, and ability to appraise own performance. If you have experience in taking a leadership role in multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring high quality care and staff morale, we would like to hear from you.

This role requires the following qualifications:

  • Full GMC registration and licence to practice
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Approved Clinician Status or eligible to attend training

A higher degree, such as MD, PhD, MSc, or other additional clinical qualifications, is desirable. Relevant experience in assessing and treating mental health patients in outpatient and community settings, as well as experience of multi-disciplinary working, is essential.
