Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS Neuro Position

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our CAMHS (Learning Disability) team at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health care to children and young people with learning disabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist mental health care to children and young people with learning disabilities, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including community paediatricians, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of patients.
  • Participate in medical audit and evaluation to improve the quality of care.
  • Contribute to the development of the CAMHS (Learning Disability) service, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.

Requirements:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within 6 months.
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Holds and will use valid UK driving license OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
