About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly skilled Planning Manager to join our team. As a key member of our consult business, you will be responsible for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocate for Mace's value of safety first and lead exceptional safety standards.
  • Manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
  • Support the long-term success of planning performance for specified engines/sectors/hubs and the overall contribution to the broader company goals.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with clients and other project stakeholders.
  • Champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage.
Requirements
  • Established experience in the built environment and with projects.
  • Understanding of different procurement routes and types and forms of contract.
  • Basic understanding of Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) stages.
  • Able to respond to all client/stakeholder requests effectively and sensitively.
  • Communicate and present to project teams on programme drivers, goals, and issues.
  • Listen effectively and probe for new and diverse ideas.
  • Working towards professional qualification (e.g. CIOB, APM, PMI).
  • Other relevant qualifications specific to local requirements.
