We are recruiting a SEN Student Support Assistant to work with children and young adults aged 4 to 19 years with severe and complex medical needs at our all-through SEN school.

This role offers a chance to make a lasting impact on the educational journey of students with physical disabilities, profound learning difficulties, and sensory impairments. As a SEN Student Support Assistant, you will provide individualized support to meet students' physical, emotional, and medical needs.

  • Student Wellbeing: Administer medication, follow care plans, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain students' overall wellbeing.
  • Teaching Support: Promote inclusivity and accessibility in lessons, enabling students to reach their full potential.
  • Behavioural Support: Implement strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  1. Adaptability: Ability to work full-time if required, with flexibility to adjust to changing circumstances.
  2. SEN Expertise: Previous experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs is necessary.
  3. Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development, including medical care and moving and handling.
  4. DBS Certificate: Essential: Hold an updated child & adult enhanced DBS certificate.

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, dependent on experience and location.
