Special Education Assistant

The role of a Teaching Assistant in a specialist school is a rewarding and challenging opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with autism.
Austin Fraser is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Teaching Assistant, supporting students with autism in a structured and nurturing environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced educators to provide individualized support to students, helping them to develop essential skills and build confidence.
About the Job:You will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting social interaction and communication among students.
Your role will involve working one-to-one with students, providing academic support and encouragement, and collaborating with teachers to implement individual education plans.
In addition to your teaching duties, you will also contribute to the development of lesson plans and resources, ensuring that they are tailored to meet the needs of students with autism.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Experience working with children with autism or other special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willing to obtain)
Salary: £85-£100 per day, 5 hours per week, term-time only
