Job Title: Special Needs Educator

About the Role: Term Time Teachers are working in partnership with a SEMH school in Kent to recruit an experienced and skilled teacher for a full-time position starting January 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating tailored lessons for students with special educational needs, taking into account their unique requirements.
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
  • Providing one-on-one or group support for students who require additional assistance, helping them develop academic, social, and emotional skills.
  • Communicating regularly with parents, guardians, and other professionals to discuss students' progression, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Knowledge and understanding of a range of special educational needs
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply
  • Two professional references from within the last two years

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum based on experience and location. This figure is subject to negotiation and dependent on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
