Job Title: Healthcare Professional - Infection Prevention Specialist


About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our team in Barrow, UK. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting residential care settings to manage outbreaks of infectious diseases and ensure compliance with infection control standards.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Support the HP Manager with administrative tasks and provide guidance on infection prevention and control measures.
  • Carry out IPC audits in residential settings using a national audit tool to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the team's email inbox and respond to enquiries or escalate to senior team members as required.
  • Provide advice to residential care settings on infection prevention guidance to support the management of outbreaks of infectious disease.

Requirements:



  • Significant experience and competence in the principles of infection prevention and control, outbreak management, and IPC audits.
