Job Description

As an Environmental Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for designing and implementing EPR programs across multiple jurisdictions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and coordinating new EPR programs to meet EU regulatory requirements;
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, recyclers, and consultants;
  • IDentifying and prioritizing regulatory requirements and defining business needs;
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance;
  • Coodinating with technical and operational teams to develop new mechanisms that enable faster and more effective program execution.

A day in the life of an Environmental Compliance Manager at Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch) involves working closely with cross-functional teams to drive EPR compliance initiatives forward. You will be responsible for analyzing regulations, establishing metrics, and guiding business teams on recycling programs. The EPR compliance team at Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch) ensures that our transactions are collected and recycled properly. We create programs to fulfill recycling requirements across multiple jurisdictions and monitor selling partner compliance. The team is also responsible for keeping Amazon customers aware of recycling initiatives available.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as an Environmental Compliance Manager at Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch), you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, or equivalent;
  • Fluent English language skills;
  • Experience handling confidential information;
  • Possess professional auditing qualification, SQL, Excel skills, and experience with data and metrics leveraging.
