A non-profit organisation is seeking a highly skilled Procurement professional to lead the development of best-in-class Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategies, policies and procedures.


Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annum



About the Role


This challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supplier Relationship Manager to join our team in either London or Glasgow. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for developing and implementing SRM strategies that deliver value to our suppliers and stakeholders.



Main Responsibilities


The successful candidate will be responsible for:


  1. Developing and Implementing SRM Strategies: Design and implement supplier relationship management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders.
  2. Leading SRM Governance and Processes: Develop and maintain governance frameworks, processes, and tools to ensure a standardised and consistent approach to supplier management.
  3. Suitable Suppliers Registration, Evaluation, and Audits: Establish and manage a system for registering, evaluating, and auditing suppliers to ensure their suitability for our business needs.
  4. Supporting Procurement Function Delivery: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure efficient and effective delivery of contracts, reduce risks, and improve overall performance.
  5. Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to business units on effective supplier management practices, ensuring consistency across all services and reducing non-compliance.
  6. Contract Management and Innovation: Oversee large multi-faceted contracts, achieve financial benefits, and drive SRM innovation to stay ahead in the industry.
  7. Financial Acumen: Possess strong financial acumen to inform procurement decisions and ensure cost-effective solutions.


About You


To succeed in this role, you will need:


  • A strong background in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, preferably with experience in SRM.
  • Demonstrable skills in contract management, negotiation, and supplier relationship building.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A keen understanding of industry trends, challenges, and innovations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
